We have jumped the track and are on our way to OZ. Trump is not in office yet, please let something stop that, and he has made a big deal out of taking back the Panama Canal, annexing Green Land, by force if necessary, making Canada the 51st state, and renaming the Gulf of Mexico. Nothing like pissing off allies and causing caous which is what he is good at. The fires in California are the govenors fault, something about water, but since it is a state that did not vote for him it will not get federal help if he can help it. More blatant stupidity for the sake of a bruised ego. All these distractions but nothing about how to make good on all the promises about lowering prices in the grocery store or the drug store, just bull shit to distract from serious matters. Again, all of those that voted for him, did you not see this coming? He only keeps promises to wealthy donors and he isn't real good at that. His biggest efforts are directed at how much he can steal from the nation before he is again out of office. Oh, amd keep in mind, he will not be prosecuted for crimes because of the Supreme Courts complicit stupidity. We are definitely in for one of the most corrupt none functional administrations that has ever been put into place anywhere in the free world. The latest and greatest is the fact that the republicans in the House of Representative have put together a bill to allow Trump to buy back the Panama Canal. We are being told that we need to cut back on Social Security, Medicare, sell the Post Office turn schools back to the states, close libraries, but we can cut takes on the rich and now buy the canal. Are we out of money or are we being witness to another round of ass kissing for the sake of pleasing Trump. Again, the question is to the American public, what were you thinking in Novenmber? Moving ahead to the future, hoping we actually have one, the goal will be to return a sense of normalcy to the nation, the economy and to common sense. Caous is the currency of the Trump periods. He likes to keep things stirred up so that he is not being closely watched while he depletes the national treasury. He made a forturne from charging for hotel space for secret service while he played golf to putting his hand out to every second rate charleton you can imagine. Sell some secrets, give up the names of undercover agents and let them be found and killed, doesn't matter he made money off those deaths and that is the only point we need to know. The entire reason for his push to get back in the Presidency has nothing to do with the betterment of America, it is all about the enrichment of Trump. He claims to be our favorite President. He is the most despised of our Presidents. We have had some good and some bad and a few that were unfortunate enough to die in office. There were a couple that got killed in office and the reason for that is because they were doing far to good a job of running the country and it pissed someone off. Trump will not be one of those types, he may die in office but it will most likely be from chocking to death on his ego. The comment has been made that the conformation hearings are rather childish. The truth is that we have been subjected to the preschool antics of the people that are supposed to be running the country ever since Trump entered the field of politics. He does not know the english language well enough to articulate a full sentence that does not sound like it came from a first grade primer book. He spends most of his time whining about how badly his treated and how he intends to punish everyone that doesn't show the necessary deference to him. His life has been a on going shit show and it will continue into death. With any amount of luck when he dies they will put him in a pile of dung. The lack of any productive agenda by the incoming administration proves that they are not working to make things better for the majority of us but rather for the minority, particularly the wealthy minority of us. They wish to cut taxes on the rich and impose more taxes on the middle and lower class. They don't see the need to raise minimum wages but they do see a need to impose excessive tariffs on all imports, which makes everything more costly and lowers the value of what income everyone has. That is the justification for cutting taxes on the rich, but not on anyone else. Many of these people are from the far right politically which means, if you listen to their bull shit, they are religious and are very pious. Truth be told they must be using the Trump bible for their worship as I would guess that dear Don has taken the place of Jesus.

Trump wants to end birth rite citzenship, which is in the 14th Amendment. If we are unwilling to violate that clause why are we violating the mandate in section 3? One item saves people that are born here of foreign born parents, the other item will save the nation from rule by an idiot. Someone needs to push back on the insurection clause and end this foolishness before it gets going.

The presidential airplane is iconic, decorated with an American flag on the tail, the seal of the President of the United States by the door, and the words “United States of America” along the side. It’s known as Air Force One — but that term actually refers not to any specific plane, but to what is being transported. Air Force One is the radio name for any airplane that’s carrying the president of the United States. Usually, the president travels on a plane custom-designed to transport the commander in chief, nicknamed the “flying Oval Office.” 

The first plane to bear the designation “Air Force One” was Columbine II, the aircraft that transported President Dwight D. Eisenhower from 1953 to 1954. In 1953, Eisenhower’s plane, then called Air Force 8610, almost collided with a passenger plane, Eastern Air Lines 8610. The Air Force One name was born to quickly communicate to air traffic control which plane the president was on, avoiding confusion with other planes in the area.

The current presidential aircraft is a customized Boeing 747-200 (and another identical plane) first used during George H.W. Bush’s administration. It boasts three stories, a medical suite that can function as an operating room, food galleys capable of feeding 100 people, and quarters for staffers and members of the press. It’s even capable of fueling mid-flight.

Fascism is a far-right, authoritarian, and ultranationalist political ideology and movement, characterized by a dictatorial leader, centralized autocracy, militarism, forcible suppression of opposition, belief in a natural social hierarchy, subordination of individual interests for the perceived good of the nation or race, and strong regimentation of society and the economy.

Socialism is an economic and political philosophy encompassing diverse economic and social systems characterized by social ownership of the means of production, as opposed to private ownership. It describes the economic, political, and social theories and movements associated with the implementation of such systems. Social ownership can take various forms, including public, community, collective, cooperative or employee.

The GOP would have us all running scared that Socialism is the worst of all sins, that giving the people a say in how things should be distributed is paramount to the destruction of all that is good in this world. I hate to break it to those who refuse to learn but we have been a Social Democracy for a very long time, and those who claim we aren’t, are the first to say, “Don’t let the government touch my Medicare, Social Security, etc.” Unfortunately, they are the first to claim anyone behind them in chronological age that these programs are handouts, in affect pulling the ladder up behind them.

We have been having the word Fascism bandied around quite a bit lately and I am the first to admit that what is coming down the pipe looks a lot like it and the thought of that system taking hold in the United States is terrifying. The facts lie in the realization the Donny, wants to be Emperor, does not have a philosophy, he wants to be Oligarch just like the people he admires, Putin, Erdogan, Kim Jung Il, people that control by fear while only enriching themselves.

I can make this bold claim by pointing out that the 34 count felons’ cabinet picks are majority billionaires and millionaires. This narcissist wants his face on a mountain and his face on the currency like any monarch and for a least the first two years of his tyranny he will have little stop gaps in what he wants, only we the people can shut him down with our voices and our dollars. He has the world richest ass hole licking his ear and a bunch of other money hogs kissing his feet, any of them that can read know what Putin did to the wealthy that opposed him. I don’t think Donald has those kinds of stones, but the Richie Riches of the world know that it has happened. Kiss the ring and your fortunes continue, don’t and breathing may be the next thing you lose. Sorry for such a bleak view of our imminent future and I hope I am wrong, all I do know is the fight just got real.

A Bionic Nose to Smell the Roses

More than 20% of the general population may experience the loss of their sense of smell, known as anosmia, at some point in their lives. Anosmia can be caused by an injury or disease, and it’s a common symptom of COVID-19. Now, a neuroprosthetic nose being developed by researchers at Virginia Commonwealth University’s Smell and Taste Disorders Centercould help people with long-term anosmia by restoring their sense of smell. The device works by transforming odor into radio waves and transmitting the signal directly to the brain, bypassing the olfactory nerves. The concept is similar to a cochlear implant: Users wear a small sensor that picks up an aroma in the air and transmits it to a tiny processor, which turns it into a specific frequency and sends it to a receiver implanted in the user’s brain. The receiver then sends the signal to electrodes that stimulate the brain as if the user were smelling the odor. If the final product makes it to market, this bionic nose may one day help people smell again.

Why Does Wi-Fi Have Dead Zones?

Wi-Fi, which stands for “Wireless Fidelity,” uses radio waves to send signals, and just as with regular radio waves, it can be disrupted or impeded — mainly by thick walls and metal barriers. It also degrades over distance.

While AM and FM radio broadcasts cover the ranges of kilohertz and megahertz, respectively, Wi-Fi transmits in gigahertz (or a billion cycles per second). That allows Wi-Fi signals to carry an immense amount of information, while severely limiting its range. Many Wi-Fi routers come with two network frequencies — 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz. The first frequency carries a lower bandwidth (aka speed) but can reach farther distances, whereas 5 GHz is faster but can’t travel as far. If you’re experiencing Wi-Fi dead zones, try switching to the farther-reaching 2.4 GHz frequency (if available), or investing in a Wi-Fi extender that can boost these data-heavy signals.

Interestingly, microwave ovens operate on a frequency very similar to Wi-Fi networks, at around 2.412 GHz to 2.472 GHz, so sometimes Wi-Fi can be disrupted when you’re warming up your dinner. Speaking of which …

Humans actually glow.

Bioluminescence, the strange biology that causes certain creatures to glow, is usually found at the darkest depths of the ocean where the sun’s light doesn’t reach. While these light-emitting animals seem otherworldly, the trait is actually pretty common — in fact, you’re probably glowing right now. 

According to researchers at Tohoku Institute of Technology in Japan, humans have their own bioluminescence, but at levels 1,000 times less than our eyes can detect. This subtle human light show, viewable thanks to ultra-sensitive cameras, is tied to our metabolism. Free radicals produced as part of our cell respiration interact with lipids and proteins in our bodies, and if they come in contact with a fluorescent chemical compound known as fluorophores, they can produce photons of light. This glow is mostly concentrated around our cheeks, forehead, and neck, and most common during the early afternoon hours, when our metabolism is at its busiest. At such a low level, human bioluminescence likely isn’t an intentional product of evolution as it is for deep-sea fish, fireflies, and many other animals. And most other bioluminescent creatures rely on a compound called luciferin (Latin for “light bringer”) — which humans lack — for their light show. Fortunately, we have unique ways of making light that are all our own.
