    We seem to be suffering through another period where the loudest voices are coming from the least caring, concerned, compassionate, or qualified sources. The two most noted in the political agenda are all about forcing their will on the rest of us. One has nothing but money on his mind and if he destroys the country to acquire more personal wealth, that’s okay. The other is a bully and his agenda is not clear except for his attitude of “Do as I tell you”.

    There are a couple of individuals in the religious arena that are just over the border of insanity. One is preaching that going to war to enforce the word is acceptable, and the other is suggesting that it is necessary to strap a bomb to yourself and go among those that do not agree with you and blow yourself up. Sounds like some other religion, just no mention of the 27 virgins.

    The enemy for all of these characters is WOKE. So what is it exactly? Is it the idea that everyone has the right to live their life as they choose as long as it does no harm to others, the idea that you can love and share and care for someone even if they are the same sex as you, or they are a different race than you, if you both feel that way where is the harm? 

    The fear that you will weaken the superior race or elevate those that, according to our teachings, are to be kept in bondage. This applies to the attitude of gender superiority as well. Take a look at the history of man and it is obvious that men were the one telling the story cause they always come out on top and that is especially true in race and gender conflicts.

    The commercials of the fifties were loaded with examples of gender superiority. The programming was bias as race played a big part in what programs aired and which didn’t.  The programs that were on that featured black artists were generally ones that were not always complementary in nature. 

    Star Trek was the first program that ever had a kiss between two people of different races. Many states had laws prohibiting interracial unions, they had not been concerned if a master had been making babies with the slave women, that was just good business cause it was making more slaves. Even one of our founding fathers is guilty of this practice although we are not sure of the relationship with the slave woman or the offspring, but he did put “All Men are Created Equal ” in our Constitution.   

   The force that keeps mankind around is sex. Without it no race will survive or prevail and yet we have evolved the most twisted views about the subject, Men that make the rounds of all the available ladies are considered Studs, All those available ladies are not known as ladies and most of the names are not complementary. 

   One major religion requires celibacy in its male and female devotees, the ones that are to serve God and forsake human wealth and pleasure. These are the same people that can tell you about what to do if you are having trouble in your marriage or with your children, pretty neat that little trick. We hear how awful it is to consort with “fallen women” and then hear about ministers being arrested for that very crime. Better that than Priests going after the altar boys.

   If you listen to the “experts” you will know that too much testosterone is the cause of why males are willing to fight and yet a lack of it causes women to go searching for a different lover. One type of monkey has solved this problem, whenever there is a danger of a fight between males the females step in and help deplete that excess testosterone by having sex with the combatants, maybe we should take lessons and save lives rather than make guns and bombs.

Geneva, 17 May 2023 (WMO) – Global temperatures are likely to surge to record levels in the next five years, fueled by heat-trapping greenhouse gases and a naturally occurring El Niño event, according to a new update issued by the World Meteorological Organization

The term Anthropocene is referring to the current climate period we are in and it directly relates the global climate to man’s incessant burning of carbon another greenhouse gas released into the atmosphere by other means wholly caused by the expansion of human civilization.

The technical definition is:  The Anthropocene Epoch is an unofficial unit of geologic time, used to describe the most recent period in Earth’s history when human activity started to have a significant impact on the planet’s climate and ecosystems.

We are all experiencing, let’s call it, weird weather. No one can dispute that areas are getting warmer, hurricanes are getting stronger, tornados are appearing in areas not typical for them. It’s fucking weird… This weekend it is projected to be 107° in New Orleans and Jacksonville, Fl. I know it is July and these are areas that it hot but not this hot plus in those cities there is a humidity factor on top of the extreme heat. Texas is having record heat on top of a failing power grid, thank you Governor Abbott for ignoring the problem. (That’s a whole other issue)

The dangerous levels of heat that have scorched swathes of the northern hemisphere this summer are likely to hit most of the world between three and 10 times more often by the turn of the century, as the impacts of the human-caused climate crisis accelerate, a new study has found.

The problem is intensified because with higher temperatures there is more water evaporation, and H2O won’t stay in the cloud. That’s right folk that means intense storms and flooding most likely in regions that aren’t equipped to manage the amount of rainfall.

On July 31, 1976 the Big Thompson Canyon was the site of a devastating flash flood that swept down the steep and narrow canyon, claiming the lives of 143 people, 5 of whom were never found, making it the deadliest disaster in Colorado’s history. This flood was triggered by a nearly stationary thunderstorm near the upper section of the canyon that dumped 300 millimeters (12 inches) of rain in less than 4 hours (more than 3/4 of the average annual rainfall for the area). Little rain fell over the lower section of the canyon, where many of the victims were.

This event was less than 50 years ago and way before we have had the massive climate shift we are seeing today. Imaging any town across the world that has a small levy holding back water and protecting it citizens that 12 inches of water could overflow… now imagine its 24 or 36 inches of water falling over 12 to 24 hours. That’s f’ing terrifying but it a scenario that is not out of the realm of possibility.

I lived in Colorado when the Thompson flood happened, I was 9. I don’t want to have to read reports of multiples of these tragedies happening because as a collective humanity has failed to listen to scientists for the past 50 years.

Here we go again the Supreme Court in a 6-3 ruling has overturned president in affirmative action case saying the Colleges and Universities can’t in any way use race as a criteria in admissions. But in the same ruling they don’t disallow legacy as criteria in the admissions process.

The court, with their lily white + uncle Tom majority, is not so quietly saying that there is no underlying racism in this country. The horrific events from our nation’s history when it pertains to underrepresented groups are all in the past and we should collectively move on. Well, that sounds great and completely blind to the reality that we live in. Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson has it right in her dissent when she said, ‘With let-them-eat-cake obliviousness, today, the majority pulls the ripcord and announces “colorblindness for all” by legal fiat,’. Currently we are not in any substance of the phase ‘colorblind’ and that blaring omission to reality is what this current, heritage society majority, court continues to prove.

Uncle Tom Clarence Thomas, who definitely benefited from affirmative actions is now pulling the ladder up behind himself so that other can’t be aided by the very system that he used.

I am sure everyone is thinking, “Race shouldn’t be considered in any decision, college acceptance or employment.” I don’t disagree but unfortunately that is not the reality that we live in.

What is ruling is going to cause is that when ‘Tyler’ doesn’t get admitted to Stanford but ‘Tyrone’ does Tyler’s family is going to sue the college because, they will claim, that race was the deciding factor. Sadly, based on this ruling Tyrone will more than likely have his acceptance removed so that Tyler’s family’s lawsuit won’t bankrupt the school. This same lack of accepting reality will invariably make it way into the corporate world and the scope of the ruling will expand past race to include gender, sexual orientation, religious preference.

This pulling the rug out from affirmative action has no upside unless you happen to be, WHITE, MALE, and WEALTHY. Yes, I included wealthy because if Jethro thinks that just because he is white and male that people like Trump will let him into the country club, he is dead wrong.  

It is time to expand the court for the good of the nation and our collective progress. This 6 to 3 (can’t even call it conservative) majority court is going the wind the calendar back 100 years if we let them.

Sorry for such a bummer rant just before a National Holiday…

   The Congress is at it again, or at least the Republican part. They are now trying to put more restrictive limits on abortion and the reason for this assault is to accomplish what. Would any of these individuals agree to required vasectomies for all males over 12 until they are married?

   Evolution has brought us to the place we now are in time, will it create another method for us to populate the earth. It seems unlikely just as it seems that mankind will get it figured out that all this crap that we heap on one another in the name of religion is just so much hyperbolas bull shit. The idea that one individual’s beliefs are all that is needed to put everyone else in bondage for the sake of that idea. All the “holy” scriptures ever written were written by men for the purpose of imparting a particular set of values on those around that man. His agenda was all that really counted and we are seeing the same efforts now with writing laws that suit the leader not the people. 

    For instance, Florida has some of the most horsed up rules in the nation right now and the governor just keeps putting wood on the fire. He tried to control Disney and got outsmarted, so now he is talking about putting a prison next to Disney World. This would be great for the Republicans as they seem to be happy when they are making others sad. The trouble is the little twirp failed to think all his programs through and now all the migrant help has left the state and crops are not being picked, hell of a deal. (A twirp is a guy that goes around sniffing girls’ bicycle seats to give himself a hard on.)

    With all that is going on for the masterful Mr. T. it looks like escape might be the only option. Not sure who wants him as a house guest, outside the US prison system. If only half of the stuff showing up is true he should be put somewhere light has to be sent in via a bottle.

   On a larger scale it is sad that the GOP has become the party of violence. They are the ones responding to the calls to the party, Jan 6. They are the ones that are backing Trump, MTG, and all the other members of Congress that continue to try and find something they can attack the opposition about. There are issues on the table that are being ignored while they scream and complain about the cases that are naming Trump as traitor and are hauling him into court to face the music over and over again. 

   One travesty after another is what we have in our Congress. No one is getting anything done to protect the nation. Radical ideals seem to be more popular than common sense, but then most of the elected folks display no common sense. We can go back to the early days of Trump’s campaign and see this. Calling to have his opponent locked up and accusing her of being behind a human traffic ring. Anyone that could pull their head higher than their ass could figure out this is talk to insult or insight. 

   The attack on the Capitol with no comments being made about this being wrong, rather join and enforce this behavior. This is what is being demonstrated by the Republican party and a goodly number of the MAGA persons that have not figured out that too much involvement in this movement usually ends with jail time.

    Across the nation it seems that ideas are being brought to the table about how to criminalize any and all effort to promote policies and programs that favor inclusion. If what you advocate does not promote rich, white, christian morays then it needs to be made a crime and all that espouse that sort of ideal need to be punished for promoting those ideas. Need we ask why this sort of rhetoric is being promoted?

    The answer is pretty clear, it is that the person that ran for and won the Presidency in 2016 has planted the seeds of dissent and hate in our national conscience and made it not only okay but desirable to hate and kill those that do not follow our lead. His entire future depends on the hope that he gets reelected. Then I am sure it is his intention to grant himself a pardon and he might extend that to some of the people that backed his play, but those that turned on him are in for a one-way trip to a place they will not want to go. As for the rest of us, we will see our Constitution disavowed and our freedoms curtailed to the point of virtual servitude. What else is going on in that sick mind is anyone’s guess. With a sincere hope that nature will take its course and find a way to silence him and all that have followed him into the rabbit hole. Just remember the family that prey’s together stays together.

Are we at one of those very consequential moments in our history?

There have been moments in the past that if the tides had gone a different way the world would be a different place. In the early 20^th century if America hadn’t elected FDR in 1932 and Hoover had retained the Presidency would we have gotten out of the depression? For sure we would have had the New Deal, social security would not be a thing. Would the United States stayed out of WWII, would we even have supported Great Britian in the late 30’s when Hitler was blitzkrieg London?

Thankfully these are questions we only can hypothesize on our current timeline.

Lots of those historical What Ifs linger in our collective consciousness.

What if Nixon beat Kennedy?

What if Nixon refused to resign in 1974? Would he have been impeached and removed from office setting a historical standard that we could have followed after Trumps impeachment? Hell, what if Ford hadn’t pardoned Nixon and let him stand trial for Water Gate? Wouldn’t that have been something…   

I really think if we had exercised the actual wheels of democracy in 1974 that the unindicted crimes of Ronald Reagan and George W. Bush would have never happened. But we have let crimes go unpunished for the sake of decorum and president.

For the first time in our history we are holding a former President accountable for his criminal actions something that if Nixon had been held to account no future office holder would have attempted. Nixon was a politician that became a criminal while Trump was and is a lifelong criminal, and due to the electoral system this country has, became a politician.

This country so craves Royalty that we elevate celebrities to that level of nobility. Trump is a C list celebrity at best but has ambition to be King and we can not let that happen.

We have been told that this coming election is the most pivotal election and 2020 certainly was if Trump would have retained the Presidency, I am not sure that he would have ever relinquished it. He’s the only office holder in our history that refused to concede after losing the election then attempted to stay in office by inciting an insurrection. This nation was built on the smooth transition of power after an election and a winner is declared. Trump would not acknowledge that he did not win the election in 2020 and in 2016 he stated during his campaign that he would only accept the results if he was the victor. In both 2016 and 2020 he did lose the popular vote but based on an antiquated electoral system he was able to win. He wholeheartedly tried to corrupt that system in 2020 but wasn’t able to because of the overwhelming number of citizens that actually voted.

In 2024 I know the argument that Biden is old and can’t do the job. Which is true but look at Donald 3.5 years younger than Joe and in far worse condition physically. The accusations that Biden is senile and confused but also the mastermind behind a crime family make no sense at all. If he is senile then what does that say about the Republicans that he continues to out flank at every turn.

Yes, Joe is 80, but he is getting shit done. He is getting shit done that has never been done before, historic lows in unemployment, an infrastructure package that rivals the interstate highway projects of Eisenhower and the New Deal programs that saved us for the Great Depression. Trump promised infrastructure and a better health plan than the ACA, he delivered on none of it.

Yes Joe is Old but if Donald is the alternative I will that Joe ‘old’ over Donald ‘unkept promises’ any day.
