How much would you pay to go to the moon?

No desire to go to the moon

Saw an ad talking about how we need to remember our history and we need to get rid of the woke. So excuse me for being confused but it seems to me that the people that are upset about woke are the ones that are closing libraries, going to private schools, and burning books that depict history in a way that does not elevate certain segments of our society above others.
History is important to every civilization and of course if they had wars the victors got to write the history. Civics is also important in the way to orchestrate a government and manage a society. If the ad was put on by the Republican Party then it is very hypocritical in context as they are bound that our future does not look anything like our past and Democracy will no longer exist.
So let’s take a look at some terms so that we are all on the same page. Person means individual, living, breathing, if you cut them they bleed, human, not a corporation.
Separation means apart, not together as in may coexist but not in the same system, as religion and government are to be separated.
Oath is a promise and breaking that promise is a lie, or in the case of swearing an oath it is perjury, and if you are dumb enough to do that in a court or in Congress you can go to jail for 5 years.
If you ever had doubt about who wrote the bible, God or man, just think about the passage reference self gratification, Cast thy seed not on the rock but in the belly of a whore. Surely the entity that created humans would not have come up with such a word for someone that may be there to provide relief and or pleasure. Had to be a man and the reason for the name is she would sleep with just about anyone else but him.
The corporations being classed as persons have allowed the formation of super pacs and big money pushing some of the more unsavory people into political office. If the candidate can raise the money by personal dynamic that is one thing but having an organization that funnels money in the way super pacs do is just not good for the system. There are no checks on the methods used to get the money and none on how it is spent. The only thing you can be sure of is the force behind it is the person that is going to tell the elected official how to vote on what. Needs to go.
The church and state issue is social suicide. As soon as you let religious leaders of any denomination stick their nose into the business of the people you have a derailment. The religion takes top priority over all else, look at the middle east to prove a point. There may be some sort of leader, puppet, behind the entire farce but the real power is with the Priests. They call the shots, prayer time, law enforcement, punishments for violations of holy orders, and they never run out of orders from God or Allah or whoever. The church schools now are entitled to public funds according to the jerks on the Supreme Court. Stick your nose in and see if you can change anything about the way they do things. Ask to see the tax statement where they paid taxes on the buildings they occupy and all that, good luck. They still are exempt from that.
Now when a person is elected to any office in this country, joins the military, or is sworn in as a witness in court they take an oath. If you become a citizen you take an oath. In court you swear to tell the truth, the other times is an oath of allegiance to the Constitution of the United States. In all cases the oath implies that you are being truthful and sincere and not lying about your intentions. So now we have a group of people serving in Congress that took that oath and yet they are working to overthrow or eliminate the Constitution. So they lied and there is a punishment for that, it is 5 years in prison. The question is why have we not had the rest of Congress proceed with making these individuals pay the piper for lying? There can be no doubt that they did lie as they had to take the oath to be sworn in, and now they are trying to do away with the Constitution. If that is not lying then what is? These people want to destroy our way of life for some reason as yet unexplained. The former president seems to be the biggest reason as he seems to have some idea, ???????, that they all have gotten behind, or maybe they just like kissing ass. As any rate all of them need to be sent far away from the halls of power and into the bowels of despair to share in their dream.

What alternative career paths have you considered or are interested in?

I have worn so many hats… was in the military, ran gyms and tanning salons, manage for GNC and Tire Stores, sold suits, wrote mortgages, worked in hospitals as a respiratory therapist, was a teacher and now I work for myself. My advice to anyone is if you want to do something different than what you are doing, just do it.

Here we go again, mass shooting in Maine and what will we get, ‘Thoughts and Prayers’.
The worst part of this is the shooter is still at large, is well trained by our tax dollars and has openly admitted to metal illness and the desire to do what he just did.
We are appalled by the atrocities in Israel and Gaza, but we daily have people in our own back yards gunned down and still we can’t seem to do anything about it. The 2nd Amendment is to many an unbreachable freedom that as Americans have the God given right to have a gun. Fine have a gun but not a weapon of war, not a firearm that has no other intended purpose than to kill people in quantity and efficiently. No one need this type of weapon outside a theater of war… NO ONE!
Next, we will be told it isn’t the gun, it is a mental health issue. Guess what the United States isn’t the only nation on earth with mental health problems we are the only one with ready access to firearms. I say to every person that says it’s a metal health problem, “Then why don’t we fund mental health, and why is it untenable to think that if someone has metal health problems they should not be in the possession of a firearm?” Strange that I can never get a good answer to that. But the Trumpublicans want to jail Hunter Biden because he lied about a drug addiction and possessed a firearm for 18 days, a firearm by the way that was not used in the advent of any crime.
Former VP Pence says that the death penalty should be a consequence for shooters, not acknowledging that nearly all shooters in these events either kill themselves or are shot by police. These murderers go on these rampages knowing that their lives are more than likely over, so the treat of the death penalty is redundant.
The 2nd Amendment is not absolute, and we need to stop acting like it is. The Constitution states that we have the right to Life, Liberty, and Happiness. I say those rights preempt the right to have a weapon that can end my or anyone else’s right to Life, Liberty, and Happiness.
I know this isn’t going to change, we have a member in the House of Representatives, Steve Scalese, that was shot at a congressional softball game, and he still touts the right to have a gun. He also doesn’t like to acknowledge that a black lesbian police officer saved his life, but that’s another rant.

Insider New Letters
Following three failed GOP speakership bids in the three weeks since Kevin McCarthy’s ouster, the House elected Rep. Mike Johnson of Lousiana on Wednesday to be the next speaker of the House.
He won with the unanimous support of House Republicans.
Johnson, a relatively unknown 51-year-old congressman first elected in 2016, is a staunch social conservative and evangelical Christian who already served in party leadership as the vice chair of the House GOP conference.
He may have been the best man for the job simply because he has no major enemies — he has good relationships with members of the hard right flank of the conference, and he’s collegial and low-profile enough for more vulnerable lawmakers to accept.
The Louisiana Republican became the party’s nominee after House Majority Whip Tom Emmer’s candidacy was derailed by former President Donald Trump, who called Emmer a “RINO” as dozens of hardliners made clear they were not ready to support his candidacy. Emmer was ultimately the party’s nominee for just over four hours before he withdrew on Tuesday.
Last week, Rep. Jim Jordan of Ohio was the party’s nominee, losing support with each successive floor vote until he was voted down by the conference on Friday. Before that, House Majority Leader Steve Scalise was briefly the nominee.
As the speaker, Johnson will be second in line to the presidency behind Vice President Kamala Harris. Here’s what you need to know about him.
Last year, he introduced a bill similar to Florida’s “Don’t Say Gay” law
Johnson with fellow Republicans after claiming the GOP nomination on Tuesday night. Last October, Johnson led over two dozen of his colleagues in introducing the “Stop the Sexualization of Children Act of 2022.”
The bill is essentially the national version of Florida’s Parental Rights in Education Law — dubbed “Don’t Say Gay” by critics.
The bill prohibits federal funds from being used to promote “any sexually-oriented program, event, or literature for children under the age of 10” and bans federal funding from being used for drag shows or “Drag Queen Story Hour.”
But the bill’s definition of “sexually-oriented material” includes “any topic involving gender identity, gender dysphoria, transgenderism, sexual orientation, or related subjects.”
That’s led the Human Rights Campaign to condemn the bill as the “latest cruel attempt to stigmatize and marginalize the community.”
He played a bigger role than most House Republicans in Trump’s efforts to overturn the 2020 election
Johnson speaking on the House floor on January 6, 2021. Like most of his GOP colleagues, Johnson voted against certifying the electoral college results from Arizona and Pennsylvania, even after a mob ransacked the Capitol on January 6, 2021.
But Johnson was also the lead organizer of an amicus brief to the Supreme Court in support of Texas’s lawsuit asking the court to halt the certification of the vote in Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin.
The day after President Joe Biden was declared the winner of the 2020 election, Johnson said he called Trump and encouraged him to “keep fighting.”

Judging by the headlines it would seem that the major press organizations are in bed with a traitor. “SCATHING New Betrayal in Trump Election bla bla bla…..” How do you betray someone that has betrayed their trust and dishonored their vow in an attempt to remain in office as the President of the United States? This is not a betrayal but rather an exposing of a great wrong. Get your ideas straight, this is not an insignificant issue with Trump being the victim as he claims. This is a treasonous crime with Trump being the kingpin behind the entire effort and the people that are not telling the truth know that if they do not then they could well suffer the same fate as he will when all is said and done.
He can call them cowards and he is not wrong because the first time they should have shown courage was when he came up with the idea and they went along with it. That is when they should have said not only no but HELL NO. You lost and that is the size of it, put your big boy pants on and go home. They did not do that with promises of favored jobs and whatever they were enticed into believing there was a chance this would work. It did not and as it turns out many in the nation do not want to let it go with a slap on the wrist and be sent to sit in the corner like a misbehaving child.
The gang of them have betrayed the country and everyone that still believes in Trump needs to get an eye exam and have the scales they have not shed removed so they can see clearly. The losers of this nation that fill those graveyards in far away places are being dishonored again by people that haven’t got the guts to face an enemy in battle. They are very willing to fight when they have an overpowering majority of force or when the enemy is a woman that wants an abortion.
The newly elected speaker of the house and the republican caucus in the House of Representatives all agree that their most important duty is not to the nation or the people that voted them into office but to kiss the ass of Donald Trump. Does he control a force of thugs from New York that is going to come and kill you if you stand up and actually act like you have a mind and a voice and can do something other than what he tells you?

What food would you say is your specialty?

No specialties I just try to figure things out and eat but I feel like I want to have that day. Don’t host any special events so I don’t specialize in anything.

This word that to me sums up the current state of the Republican caucus. Now everyone is saying… ok what?
Let’s use this in a in a sentence, ‘The current unrest in the Republican House is axiomatic.’ Ok I will give you the definition for those that have never heard of this term, ‘Self-evident or unquestionable.’ I could have used the term discord instead of unrest both with fit the context.
Again, this only fits if we assume that the current state of the Republican inharmonious behavior is a bug and not a feature of the party itself. I have, nearly, come to the conclusion that this is a feature of the party and not just an unpleasant circumstance.
Here is my reasoning.
- The party elected McCarty as Speaker with a caveat that 1 member could ask for the Speakership to be vacated.
- The Tumpubicans wanted the Government to shut down so they could blame the Democrats.
- McCarthy, just doing his job worked across the Isle to keep the government from shutting down. (cardinal sin)
- The temporary spending bill will run out in 3 weeks and without a Speaker in the House the ‘Freedom Caucus’ gets their wet dream and shuts the system down.
One of the ways to change a system of government from to Democracy to an Authoritarian system is to break the democracy and espouse that only one person can solve the problem. This is exactly what ‘wanna be’ King Donald wants to happen and his hand full of malignant minions are trying to make it happen.
Don’t let them get their way, VOTE these clowns out of office, the founder may not have been perfect but the system that they started has lasted for nearly 250 years don’t let the experiment fail.
I hope I am wrong 😦

What major historical events do you remember?

I have lived through many historic moments from the Iran hostage situation to Reagan being shot to 9/11, but my favorite moment is the election of Barack Obama in 2008 I felt like the country actually had hope
