I often wonder if mankind is ready for what we have created… the dissemination of information that is currently accessible with the click of a mouse or the swipe of your finger is staggering, but are we evolved enough to handle it?

As evolved as we have become, we are still in a relative sense a very juvenile species. In reference to the time that we first walked upright and discovered fire, discovered is a very loose term because we didn’t discover anything just learn how to use it, to the computer AI we are currently living comically is a blip. Seriously the age of giant dinosaurs was millions of years and we have been around for even a tenth of that. With our big brains we have pulled ourselves from hunter gatherers to huge metropolitan cities and no longer revere the land but exploit it.

We are still superstitious with a majority of the world’s population believing in an all-powerful, omnipresent, omnipotent being that created and controls everything. It’s that magical thinking that has got us where we are, but it is also the same deep-rooted interpretation of those shared beliefs that continue to hold us back.

Millions believe that the Bible, Coran, The Tora were written by God, not by man. Those same text have been translated numerous times, and anyone that speaks more than one language know sometimes the is no direct translation. That is especially true when translated from a dead language like Aramaic. Not only is there the translation but many of the tales are written as parables and riddles to be interpreted and we all know how the human mind love to twist a riddle to fit what they want it to mean. So we a have ancient text written by men thousand of years ago that could have never imaged the world we are living in today and on top of that millions of people picking and choosing passages that fit their personal narrative while ignoring the rest.

This is just one example of information overload with a religious message now add in the billions of bits a data we are bombarded with every day. It is no longer Joe Friday, “Just the facts mam…” Facts have become something that is up for debate, a group of people can witness the same event or read the same article but not agree what happened or what the article said, it all up to the witness’s internal bias to interpret the events.

I am not saying that we should have hive mind and be part of the collective like the Borg but when there are such things as alternative facts, I thinks it time to step back and reevaluate. I don’t know that we are ready for the information overload.

I hope that this wasn’t too depressing, thanks for putting up with my mental vomit.

I am not 100% sure when this Epoch started but it seems that we are going to be living through it for a while longer.
I am sure that many of those reading this have zero idea what I am talking about so let’s get into it.

First what is an Epoch…

1. a period of time in history or a person’s life, typically one marked by notable events or particular characteristics.
2. the beginning of a distinctive period in the history of someone or something.
3. a division of time that is a subdivision of a period and is itself subdivided into ages, corresponding to a series in chronostratigraphy.

We are going to refence mostly the 2^nd definition and possibly some of the 1^st, I am not talking about a geologic event in this particular rant.

What is Idiocracy? I know sounds like a made-up word.

1. a society or group that is controlled by or consists of people of low intelligence.

Now that I have Websters definition of what I am referring to now I will tell all of you that have struck around this long what I mean.

We are in a time where intelligent/educated people are being chastised for the very fact that they have an opinion that has a basis in fact. If some wants to have a battle of wits with someone that has zero information about a specific topic but has a very strong opinion about said topic, that opinion cannot be swayed by a person with actual information and evidence. Their opinion will not be influenced no matter the facts brought to bear conclusively disproving that belief.

This nation had the bad luck of electing a malignant narcissist to the Presidency that only intensified the idiocracy, giving his rabid minions the permission to act as their worst selves. His actions gave rise to closeted hatred and cancerous racism that we had hope was diminishing. I am well aware that this nation was founded in racism but no one what’s to admit the awful truth and the election of President Obama brought that malignancy to the surface even though those same people will proclaim that there is no more racism because we had a black President.

The man to attain the seat of power after President Obama spent the 8 years Obama was on office proclaiming the illegitimacy of our first black President. Claiming that he wasn’t born in the United States and that he had proof, but like many of his claims could never produce that evidence. Now they same clown and his minions are making the same claims of VP Kamal Harris and of course they no evidence of this because just like Obama was born in Hawaii VP Harris was born in California and there is actual documentation to back that up.

That is just one example of the idiocracy… no matter the evidence and documentation the members of the clan refuse the except the truth.

According to the moronic mass of red hats, COVID19 was fake, and the millions of deaths worldwide were all a hoax. They at the same time say the Dr Fauci was in league with China to create and disseminate the virus that they claim is a hoax. Don’t know how both those realities can co-exist. There is the belief the Donald was 100% responsible for the creation of the vaccine, (made it with is chemistry set in the basement of the White House) and should have received a Nobel Prize. While out of the other side of their mouths saying that they will never take the vaccine.

I could go on and on pointing out the ridiculous inconsistencies of the arguments I hear on a daily basis and could use logic and reason to overcome the lunacy in which these beliefs are founded. But the idiocracy is deep and pervasive and cancer has spread. We all need to understand that many of the diehard red hats no longer have opinions; they have beliefs, opinions can be overcome beliefs not so easily. It has become nearly a religion, and we know throughout history people die for their religion. This Epoch of Idiocracy is upon us I only hope that it doesn’t last much longer.

   At least one state is going to take the fake electors to task. If these people get jail time for the attempted effort of keeping Trump in office then he should also be facing charges in this endeavor as the man behind the plan. His name is mile a way as always and you can not pin anything on me, they did this on their own. Some of the charges are worth 14 years in prison, I can not believe that these very influential people ever thought that they may face that kind of punishment for being involved in political activity. 

   It only proves that we have a class of citizens that is truly ignorant as to the law but oh so sure of their rightful place at the table making decisions for the little people that are all too stupid to think for themselves.

   He is on the campaign trail and talking shit about how he is winning, beating everyone, way ahead of Biden and all that. The truth is he couldn’t beat a horse turd on a good day so how is he going to beat all of the opposition? As per usual he does not ever lose so of course he has to win. Will he have another run at the capitol if not elected, probably. Will he be in jail by election time, hopefully and disqualified to run for any public office, such as dog catcher or whatever.

   Our system of government allows for people to have differences and to express those differences, it does not allow for the willful overthrowing of the seated government just to make the opposition happy. The charges that are being filed against the people involved and leading to the Jan 6 situation are pretty conclusive and encompass most of the possible defenses that might be dreamed up, so will we see prison time for a former President? The outcome is still in question but legal ramifications of such crimes should not be put aside for any of those involved.

So here we go again; Ron DeSantis is putting another nail in the coffin of real history of non-white people. His latest assault on the education system and his continued campaign against the ‘WOKE’ in his state is that in the fall curriculum it will be taught that slaves actually got an advantage by their enslavement because it provided them with a vocational skill.  Also, that in race mass killings in the late 19^th and early 20^th centuries that the black communities were committing violent acts that were as bad if not worse than the acts that caused the historical acts.

This retelling of history neglects to mention the hundreds of thousand if not millions of abducted Africans died before ever reaching the shores of North America and that their bodies were summarily discarded overboard without a second thought. Of course, the mere that slaves were experimented on to try and prove the white theory that black people were inferior would never be mentioned in the supposed ‘color blind’ curriculum. We wouldn’t want white children to feel uncomfortable with a truth about the atrocities that the white settlers of this nation committed.

This sad excuse for a person, much less a government official and one that is running for President, has stated his own crusade to ‘whitewash’ history as well as force anyone different from himself and his narrow beliefs back into the closet. He has already banned Drag Queen story time and removed books from libraries that even mention LGBTQ topics, I am sure anything that examines the Black experience is next. During the 2021-2022 school year, 566 books were banned across 21 school districts in Florida, according to data tracked by PEN America.

The ‘Moms for Liberty’ group are fanning out across the country going to public libraries trying to have certain titles removed from the shelves because they disagree with the content. Sadly, many of these concerned activists don’t even have children that they are professing to protect.

These narrow views and banning books that are found to be offensive or espouse view contrary to a political view are a very slippery slope to Fascism. Hitler banned books and subjugated an entire portion of the populist based on lies… Ron DeSantis (Death Sentence) is walking the same path, thankfully he has the charisma of day-old cheese spread. Unfortunately, Florida’s Governor isn’t the only wannbe dictator we have to deal with, Texas Governor Abbot is also a piece of work not to mention the leader of the Orange Mafia and his desire to re-attain the Presidency so that he can change to entire complexion of our government.

All this is really scary and I recommend that everyone find a banned book list and then go out and read every one of those titles that you can and have your children read them as well.

This now a call to action… and I hope that anyone who reads this takes it seriously.
