As a child with an Army NCO father we relocated often so no priority was put on nostalgic possessions. I know sounds sad for a child but memories and experiences last far longer than a childhood woobie.

My mission/missions for today is to get out of the hospital, ended up here due to a fall and head injury on 12/28, and to determine whether to repair my car or replace it.

Like most I have always thought missions and goal where the same but in doing more reading I liken the difference as missions are comparable to taste testing a recipe and goals as preparing and consuming that meal… let me know if I am wrong on that comparison, I did just have a head injury so I can except being wrong.

I truly believe there’s a difference between quality versus quantity. Sometimes quality is far more important than quantity. If you can’t live along healthy, productive life, then quality is not there.

I could work more on interpersonal contact I don’t tend to have friends, not true don’t have close friends, tend to keep people at an arms distance it’s just easier that way, and I suppose that’s something I could absolutely do differently.

I wouldn’t want an actual billboard, but our freeways have the electronic billboards that they write messages on every day. Some good some bad my message would be “stop driving like an asshole”… “Yes, I’m talking to you. “

I spend way more time thinking about the past, some would say dwelling on it. The suppose the reason why is because being in my 50’s there is a lot more of it that the perceived about of future that I or any of us have when on a down hill slide to 60. Thankfully I still have my parents but don’t have grandparents anymore but with patents pushing 80 the reality that their time in the plain of reality is not going to last.

The past may have been good, bad or otherwise but it is known so reminiscing about it and sharing those lived experiences with others and the younger generation is comforting.

Since my son was born every year that he gets older, he gives me the gift of clarity more and more every day to realize what’s really important.

I feel like I don’t have any playtime in my life at all. It’s all work sleep work sleep work sleep that’s about it.
